ezFreezer barcode label printing improves data management and
accessibility, reduces costs,
increases productivity, and provides necessary technical and
product-related information.
Before you can print barcode labels from ezFreezer, you must configure
your printer.
ezFreezer comes with one configuration for a barcode printer that you
can modify.
Each command consists of one or two ASCII (case sensitive) alpha
characters to identify the command.
Some commands require one or more additional parameters to supply the
printer with sufficient information to complete the command.
The commands used for ezFreezer’s Basic Profile are as follows:
Line 2: Command "N" clears the image buffer prior to building a new label image.
Lines 3 and 4: Command "A" prints an ASCII text string.
Line 5: Command "B" prints standard barcodes.
Line 8: Command "P1" prints the contents of the image buffer.
The following items explain the fields on the Edit Barcode Printer
page.
Port specifies the port name that is connected to the printer (COM,
LPT, or shared printer\\computer_name\printer_name).
Printer Profile is the name by which you can identify the collection of
settings that define the current profile.
Next New Barcode is the number ezFreezer should assign to the next
barcode you create.
Select Assign New Barcode to automatically assign a new barcode to each
new sample.
Select Print New Barcode to automatically print all new barcodes.
Lines 1 through 8 of the Command and Parameters fields provide basic
information for printers featuring Zebra's programming and command
language. You may also use other printer languages. For more information
about Zebra, see http://www.zebra.com.
